I’m Yolanda, a professional artist specialized in portraiture. I work primarily in oil pastels, soft pastels and traditional oils but I love experimenting with different techniques and materials.

I choose to paint with pastels because I love their buttery consistency and color intensity and because of how immediate as a medium they are. Just seeing them in my palette box makes me want to get started!

My favorite subjects are children (specially my own!) but I enjoy switching things up and play with still life or pets for a while before I go back to my portraits. Regardless of the subject, my aim is to bring calm and timeless beauty through my paintings.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at the Technical University of Valencia (UPV), Spain, and I’ve been studying art on my own since then. Teaching is a big part of why I create so I now share my knowledge with others through Patreon and YouTube and use Instagram to show my works, sketches and behind the scenes.
